Obama would never have reached this point without the breathless assistance of his media lackeys. He's a smooth salesman. He reveals more about himself in the rare faux pas than he does in a dozen speeches. Honestly however, we owe the death of the America we knew to the Republicans and not the Democrats. The Republicans had the House, Senate and Presidency. They could have packed the Supreme Ct and lower federal courts with Constitutional judges. They could have sliced takes, fixed the excess of Gay marriage and uncontrolled abortion extremes. Instead they decided to get even for decades of Democratic greed and corruption by getting theirs too. Now the pendulum has swung. The average man and woman is a mindless dolt. Addled by years of public school neglect and social engineering, they are incapable of independent thought. They rely on Oprah and Olbermann to "inform" them. With no real education or inclination to educate themselves, most "citizens" are sheep to be led one way or the other. Obama is now the shepherd. I'm hardly a biblical scholar, but I recall that somewhere therein Jesus warns us to "Beware false prophets". If Obama is not a false prophet he is least the Judas goat leading us to slaughter. Once Lord Obama gets in he'll have control of the Executive and Legislative branches of the government as well as of all the media except, FoxNews, talk radio and the Supreme Ct. The "fairness Doctrine" will eliminate at least half of talk radio But wait, there's more! Since Bush got almost no federal judges appointed, Barak will flood all of those empty slots with more "progressives", read as socialist traitors, leaving only four Supreme Ct judges to defend America. Don't be surprised if one of them gets a "unexpected illness" and suddenly resigns or dies on the bench. I'm sure that comrade Putin can assist Lord Obama in this regard. Vlady knows how a takeover is done. Lord Obama will immediately be replace the "retired" judge with a Ginsberg (Ruth not Max) clone thereby removing the last bastion against the new USSA, the United Socialist States of America.

What could have been more damaging for a man who has tried to hold himself above the lesser issue of race? I thought his speech yesterday was a good one but he went on too long. Obviously Barak has some sympathy for the Reverend’s opinions even if he doesn't publicly embrace each one. I disagree with those that said Obama should throw Wright under the bus however. Barak appears much more stately by refusing to turn his back on his friend and mentor even if the man is a buffoon and a blatant racist. This is integrity. Perhaps as interesting as the Wright matter is, it's more interesting to speculate what the sycophant media types would be saying had it been a white male Republican whose spiritual adviser was espousing racist excrement. What if it was Mike Huckabee's preacher talking of the accomplishments of the white race? Romney had problems because of the strange practices of the Mormons. What if some Mormon of his acquaintance blamed the high crime rate on black on black violence, or the staggering illegitimacy rate in the black community or rampant promiscuity? Neither candidate would make it through the day!

Personally, I think that Obama is likely a fine and principled man. I respect him for not betraying his friend, but he demonstrates a staggering lack of judgment for a potential President of the PTA let alone the USA. The Democrat Super Delegates must now hand the nomination over to Hillary, as vile, self-interested and dishonest a person as the Presidency has seen since Nixon (her husband excepted of course). Many pundits have questioned how Mitt Romney can catch the McCain freight train. The REAL question is why doesn't Ron Paul get more attention. He was almost totally ignored in Wednesday's debate but he made the most sense when he scolded both Romney & McCain for arguing over who said what instead of questioning the entire policy. This nation is doomed. None of the Republicans will beat either Obama or the Shrew. With a Democratic House and Senate there will be another terrorist attack on the US before the next President's term is over. The economy will tank to pre- Reagan levels. Gasoline will be over $5.00 a gallon. Taxes will go up and up to support illegal aliens and welfare layabouts. Nothing will be done to address Social Security's bankrupt status. The Russians will return to the old Soviet style. Neither the shrew Hillary nor the glib Obama have any solution to America's problem. Platitudes and giveaways may get votes but they don't address any issues. The "Great Society" is the real reason that we're in this mess to begin with. If 60% of the Nations budget is "entitlements" then American's needs to get less "entitled". We subsidize the weak and the useless so we get more and more of them. We refuse to seal our boarders because immigrants might be offended. Meanwhile tens of thousands of new illegals enter the county every day. The Democrats are the "feel good" party. They must spend and spend support the plantation system which continues to elect them. The Republicans could not resist the urge to feed at the public trough once they gained control of Conges. They got bounced in 2006 for that reason. The last three Democrats Presidents, Johnson, Carter and Clinton, were three of the worst Presidents in American History. Bill Clinton's "wife" has no qualifications to be President whatsoever and yet women all over the country will vote for her because "It's time". How vapid. The Boston Globe of January 22, 2008 ran two op-ed pieces regarding the destruction of the Electoral College. Neither piece defended the institution. Rather, the argument was the best way to elect the President of the United States by popular vote. My how wonderful it would be if every man's vote counted the same. The ignorance of the position is astounding. While it is established that each state has the right to decide how its electors will vote, the scheme to unite the 11 most populous states in a effort to control the presidency is insidious. It betrays the principals and ideals of the founding fathers and seeks to subject the entire nation to the dictates of a minority of the country's locales, essentially, the coastal and urban areas. These "blue states", irritated that the rest of the nation has repeatedly rebuked their notions of nanny government, now believe that an end run around the Constitution will facilitate their unabated desire to dictate to those of us who disagree. Why should some rube in Kansas or Iowa have a say in government? The toothless and unwashed don't know what's good for them because the rail at the limousine liberals who regulate their every breath while holding themselves above the laws that they themselves create. How odd that these "dogooders" now wish to employ the same states rights that their carpetbagging ancestors successfully destroyed in the Civil War. If these 11 states are successful in this enterprise, the death of this once proud creation of enlightened men will soon cease to exist. Why not let New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco dictate? We all know that all things are better in these metropolis's do we not? None of these areas have crime, homelessness, unemployment, pestilence or disease. Each is an efficient engine of progress and a model of civics in action. PLEASE, spare the rest of the nation your guidance. Save us from the dictatorship of the illegitimate children of the Great Society, the uneducated of the metropolitan public schools and the self-proclaimed intellectuals. Is it any wonder that it these people who want to gut the Second Amendment and outlaw firearms? Alexander Hamilton was unambiguous on the importance of arms to a republic, writing in Federalist No. 28, "If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense....". Prepare to defend yourselves Kansas, Iowa and the rest of the 39 states. The dusk of the Republic approaches.

If Judge Tuttman “followed the law” in reducing $100K bail to personal recognizance why would the judge in Dedham put a $20 K bail on the 76 yr old woman who ran over an old man on Great Plains Ave the other day? Because it was a “hit and run”? Now seriously, who is a greater risk to flee, a 76 yr old woman with no record or a convicted murderer awaiting trial for assaulting two prison guards? In my experience, anyone charged with a serious crime gets bail imposed. While I agree that we should not rush to judgment, Tuttman should be up for hearing before the Governor’s Council. Maybe she just screwed up. Or maybe she’s totally incompetent. At least two innocent young people are dead as a result. Is Tuttman’s error any greater than that of the old lady in Needham, or the woman who hit the wrong pedal and killed the MD in the cancer clinic? We all make mistakes, even judges. Judges like Murphy (extorting the Herald) and Tuttman should be compelled to accept responsibility like the rest of us.

Don’t the citizens deserve better?

There has always been patronage, corruption and nepotism. Those sins are likely endemic to the human condition. But if we continue to permit the high and mighty chosen few to ignore common sense and the people's cries for justice, then the answer to that question is "No".

Well its official, Massachusetts has let yet another murderer loose to wreak havoc on the innocent citizens of another state. From 1988’s Willie Horton to 2007’s Danny Tavares, Jr., the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has perfected a system to reduce in state crime. We let the criminals out so that they can flee to other states. There’s little doubt that the Department of Corrections should have sought criminal complaints for assault against two prison guards by a man convicted of killing his own mother with a butcher knife. Surely the Worcester District Attorney’s office should have requested a Dangerousness Hearing on Tavares’ bail review hearing. Then again isn’t the Worcester County DA the son of a former Congressman who was kiting checks in the Bank of Congress. And honestly, why is the system so convoluted? Shouldn’t “dangerousness” be an element of deciding if an accused can be freed on bail? Is likelihood of failure to appear the only valid criteria for leaving a killer lose on the streets? I’m pretty certain that numerous other defendants have been held in custody because of a “belief” that they would flee. Didn’t OJ have to post a bail? Was it because he failed to appear on some speeding violation? I think not.
There is a lot of blame pie to be shared here, but to these eyes the judge is an imbecile. I’ve read the remarks of Ed Ryan, Esq. and Hiller Zobel (who nullified a jail sentence for the nanny who shook a baby to death) and while their understanding of the law is doubtlessly correct, it totally lacks common sense. Why is Romney to blame for this? Well he appointed Tuttman who clearly is yet another loony liberal Massachusetts jurist, but the system here is broken. Not only are judges not held responsible for their errors, they are forbidden to comment. Hmmm. Judge Murphy sends what can only be described as an extortion note to the publisher of the Boston Herald and he gets a reprimand announced on the day before Thanksgiving. Golly, what would Tuttman’s punishment be for explaining her decision instead of hiding behind the robes. One would have to presume it would be somewhat less right? Hell Tavares only got 15 years for stabbing his mother to death!
This state has gone to hell in a hand basket. The former Senate President is the brother of our most infamous criminal. Haven’t the last three Speakers of the House been indicted? How long before Sal DiMasi slips up? Our Supreme Judicial Court pulls a “right” to gay marriage out of its judicial posterior while the Legislature stands idly by. But the same Legislature is now considering making spanking your own child a felony. Even if there was an avenue whereby judges could be held accountable (what an awful thought for liberals) the gutless fools who run the show wouldn’t do it anyway. No citizens’ petitions will get any sway on Beacon Hill. They have shown us all that much already. An innocent couple is murdered in cold blood for an alleged $50 but the parties responsible are beyond reproach. Even if judges were to be elected here in the People’s Republic I doubt that there’d be much of a change. The electorate here is too lazy or stupid to take responsibility for its government. That’s why we are governed by a few “intellectuals” who “know what’s good for us”. Ban marshmallow fluff! Trans-fats are illegal! Make spanking a felony! But recall a judge, Oh my no! Barney Frank can spank “Hot Bottom” all he wants but you smack junior’s butt and you are a felon. The kid in Marshfield (his name escapes me – pun intended) received 5 months in jail for plotting a “Columbine” style massacre of his high school mates. But had he not been stopped and killed 20 kids what would be the hue and cry. You know the answer. MORE GUN CONTROL. They catch the little deviant and he gets 5 months. If they don’t catch him, law abiding citizens get more restrictions on their liberty.

Now the powers that be have moved the Massachusetts primary ahead to February 5th, Super Tuesday. Why? So that Massachusetts can be more relevant in the nation. I’m guessing that in Maryland (Horton) and Washington (Tavares) the law abiding citizens think that Massachusetts is plenty “relevant” enough thank you. Our primary should be the day after the Democratic Convention ends. We do enough damage as it is.

I loved Jeff Jacoby's column in today's (10/17/07) Globe. There's no question that the socialist teacher's union has pushed it's agenda at the expense of all efforts at improving education. I have to say that I find Edward's remark ridiculous. Why is it that these fools don't feel that they have the right to impose their views on their children but that they have a God given right to dictate to the rest of us? I realize that Edwards had no role in the "play" but here in Massachusetts the pols have no problem dictating to the people they supposedly represent. Seat belts, tax roll back, even the same-sex marriage invention got shoved down everyone's throats. They KNOW the seat belt law is good so it gets pushed on us twice. They want our money so they ignore a roll back referendum. They were afraid that the people wouldn't "do the right thing" so they conspired to force the gay marriage deal on everyone even though they had a chance to legislate it into law. I would likely have voted to allow gay marriage had I been trusted to do so. It's none of my business what anyone else does if it doesn't effect me. I guess I would have made a crappy politician and a worse teacher. Sadly these fools know less about history than they do about government. The wheel may turn slowly, but it turns. Someday, I hope I'm long gone by then, there will be a violent backlash against this foolish pandering. What we get afterwards could make the French Revolution and Nazi Germany look like garden parties. Hopefully some of these hypocrites will be the ones with their heads on the pikes. Edwards would still look good with his $400 haircut.

Just what we need. More people getting money for nothing. The cutoff for the give away is $100,000 PER COUPLE. $50K if you expect the entire $1000. What's next a "dictatorship of the proletariat"? With a democratic congress and Hillary at the helm it might just be time to take Osama up on his offer. Convert to Islam and scrap the tax laws altogether. Does it truly make a difference if you're on your hands and knees three times a day bowing to Mecca or to Washington, DC and her "Highness" awaiting coronation? Here in Boston we proudly name the land above the BigDig as "The Rose Kennedy Greenway". Oddly, Rose chose to have her "green" estate probated in tax friendly Florida. Only Captain Renaud could fake shock. Now, some twenty odd years after Michael Dukakis folded all of the gas tax money into "General Revenues"pork barrel, even Renaud would not be shocked to find the roads and bridges of the Commonwealth in such disrepair. "We're 19 Billion short!" they say on Beacon Hill. And "What about the children?" Frankly I've had more than enough of these dolts and thieves. I'm tired of being governed by a pack of failed attorney's who couldn't make a living in their chosen profession, of layabouts and spineless weasels who's only purpose in life is to find ways of cheating hard working people out of their earnings so as to support shiftless in-laws and payback patronage to union bosses who cheat their members. These bloated bureaucrats have spent every dime we've ever given them and we have little or nothing to show for it unless you count gazebos in Braintree, artistic grants for a light switch and a huge leaky tunnel. Now these felons have the temerity to propose an ADDITIONAL 11.5 cent/gallon hike in the gas tax and a GPS spying program to charge us all another 5 cents per mile should we be foolish enough to drive to work each day. These are the same fools who are outraged over eavesdropping on Ahmed and Mohammad planning to blow up LNG tanks, but spying on commuters is A.O.K. with them. They are the same idiots who preach about the environment, then buy speed boats that get 1 mpg, insist on large luxury vehicles to do "the people's business" and oppose wind farms because it might disturb the pristine view from their stately mansions. Even when one of their number has a brain fart and comes up with a proposal falling short of their socialist agenda (Coupe Deval's Casino's for cash plan) the nanny's fear the "social ills" of gambling. None of them have any qualms about the state lottery however. Our state lottery is as big a sucker bet as any seen at Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, Vegas or Atlantic City. Every "gambler" knows that "the numbers" are the single worst bet imaginable. For decades "numbers" were organized crime's biggest cash cow.

Many of us work in Boston because that's were the jobs are. I do not cherish arising at 5:00 am each day to begin an 1 1/2 hr commute over some of the worst roadways in America, but I have no choice. The cost of living in metropolitan Boston is insane. Few can afford $400,000 for a 2 bedroom cape on 1/8 acre of land in a bad neighborhood. Now we may not be able to afford to live in Central Massachusetts and waste 3 hours a day in the company of people "multitasking" while they drive. To those Solon's who want more of my money I say "N.A.D.S.!" Not another dime suckers! Not until the dolts at the MBTA have to work until 70 like I do. Not until toll takers on the turnpike make the same as the kid in the drive up window at the Burger King. Not until every brother-in-law, sister, cousin, and monkey's uncle is thrown out of state government on his or her fat candy ass. Not until illegal aliens are treated as "illegal" and sent on their merry way back to from whence they came and not provided with free education and health care.

Red State, Blue State. I'm curious as to why the "conservative" states are called "Red" and the liberal ones "Blue" . To me, life here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts is similar to the old Soviet Union ergo "Red" seems far more appropriate for the liberal havens. Maybe it's just because being governed by the self-proclaimed elite makes one "blue" living here.

Now that the Legislature has decided to postpone the Constitutional Convention until AFTER the elections (such heroism has rarely been seen before) perhaps it can do as the elitists professes to want and turn attention to the "people's business". I refer not to getting jobs for their brother-in-law, or putting a new park in front of some rental property held in a spouse's name, but rather to fixing the deplorable condition of one of the Commonwealth's major highways ....... the long neglected Route 2! The only vehicular route to Boston from North Central Mass., Route 2 is poorly maintained and completely inadequate for today's needs. The numerous traffic signals between the Route 128 interchange and Acton create a horrendous and needless backlog of traffic at any time of day. The Concord Rotary is a dangerous farce. I'll bet that there are more accidents and injuries in that rotary then are caused by people failing to wear the seatbelts as now legally mandated. The communities of Lexington, Concord and Acton have no right to force hundreds of thousands of commuters to be needlessly delayed to assuage their effete sensibilities. I don't advocate draining Walden Pond, but bypassing those traffic signals and creating an alternative to the rotary are improvements long overdue. Yes Acton may have to increase it's property taxes to compensate for extorting money from honest commuters but so be it. People can choose to live there or move to another town. Commuters have no such option. Perhaps if our tax dollar bloated solons had had the foresight to re-locate the cramped Logan Airport to the old Ft. Devens when the federal government offered the property to the state, a modernized mass transit alternative would have been necessitated. Why we wouldn't have even needed the Ted Williams Tunnel or the connector which now endangers the lives of anyone who uses it. Sadly we live in Massachusetts where foresight and common sense are as rare a dragon teeth and unicorns. What's that you say about the "Commuter Rail"? Yes we have the civil war era "purple line" and it's 2 1/2 hour ride. Hardly a bullet train now is it. Perhaps the gluttons who run this sate need to be reminded that we, the citizens of North Central Mass. pay taxes also. I know it will come as a shock, but the world exists beyond Route 495.
